KIDS at SCVC
what we do |children's policy
Children are very important to us at SCVC. they are not a program or a hinderance but are little disciples within our community.
In our worship gatherings, kids opver the age of 18 months have their own time of worship, games and fun activites. They learn about God and how to live as a little chrisitan community. After the gathering, the grown-ups and kids have a drink and chat/play together. We have a roster system of adult leaders and helpers. Everyone in the SCVC community gets the opportunity to spend this precious time with the kids.
Once a month, we worship together as one big family. We will have art and music, a story for kids and grown ups to take in, and we also pray together. Then we all have communion together and eat a meal. We value this time as it provides an opportunity for the whole community to have input into the kid's lives. Also, we have found that the kids offer much to the grown-up's spiritual experience.
Community Time
Whenever we get together to chat, have fun, get to know each other, get out in the community and serve in practical ways, our kids come with us. The inclusion of kids in all that we do is valuable to community discipleship.
